You can insert a grid with recent posts using a widget (available in all Premium themes). Here is how it can be done:
1. Login to your Admin Panel
2. Navigate to Left Menu -> Appearance -> Widgets
3. Insert ‘Recent Posts Grid’ Widget in some of the available widget areas such as ‘Homepage Above Columns’ or ‘Homepage Below Columns’:
4. You can set Title, Number of Posts to show, and Display Posts Excerpt. Then save changes, open your site and check how your recent posts are displayed as a grid:
